A child with autism has superpowers. They see and hear things that neurotypical people cannot. Their world is shaped and flavoured so differently it could be in another dimension.
Did you know the Maori term for autism, takiwātanga, describes them as being “in their own time and space”? Beautiful.
But it’s hard for them to tell us how they feel or what they need. Which is heartbreaking because being heard and understood are so important to us as humans.
Expression and empathy are the reason these dolls exist. They have helped us understand our own super-autie and his battle to express himself.
We hope they do the same for others.

Peg dolls are the perfect addition to children’s play as children will create their own stories and narrative to their play with a simple peg doll. A perfect resource for learning through play, the best way is to let children take the lead.
