Minibeast Mixes are a set of 2 dyed rice colours that resemble the main colours of common minibeasts. Yellow and black for a bumblebee, red and black for a ladybird. Loose parts, trays and scoops not included.
Each minibeast mix will contain 175g of one colour and 175g of another colour. They will come in separate packs (unmixed) so you have the option to create spots or stripes. Ultimately once your child has played with it they will end up mixed!
Sensory rice is a fantastic tool for learning about the world, developing language, and practising essential skills such as scooping and pouring. It provides a sense of calm throughout the day if you feel your child getting overwhelmed with their environment or if you want to wind them down for a nap or to sleep. It can be placed in a clear, sealed jar for younger babies to explore and develop their sight, hearing and smell senses.
All my rice is dyed with safe food dyes. No nut or egg products are used to dye my rice but I dye it all at home in my kitchen where nuts and eggs are stored. If you are concerned about allergies please don’t hesitate to contact me. This is not an edible product, the rice is uncooked and must not be ingested.
Please also note that sensory rice is not a toy and is unsuitable for children under the age of 3 years. Children must always be supervised by an adult.
Mr Mole's Marvellous Ideas
All the natural resources can be used in play-set ups, as items to discover in a basket or tray or as decoration. They provide stimulating discussion points on colour, texture, shape and size as well as being useful for play.
Larry's Learning Outcomes
