My Little Book of Happiness explores understanding what it is to be happy and helps children find their own version of happiness! This book explains, in child friendly terms, that happiness isn’t a destination to be achieved, but rather an overall state, with other emotions coming and going. The book begins with activities to develop an understanding of happiness, ways to create a happier mindset and space to express happiness on paper. The second half of the book contains the “Happy Days’ section, where there are 3 months worth of daily gratitude entries. Gratitude has been proven to help the brain develop a positive mindset and is a fantastic habit for children to develop early in life. Each entry asks your child to list 3 ‘Happy Things”. These could be good things that happened or things they feel grateful for. It then asks them to write or draw about their favourite moment of the day. Then, because we believe it’s important for children to develop self awareness, they’re asked WHY they think this made them happy.
Handmade by us in our home studio, this book is made with our eco friendly Kraft recycled paper, wire binding and 120gsm quality white paper.
My Little Book of Happiness is for general use and guidance only. It does not in anyway replace the advice and help of a medical professional or therapist. Please, always see your medical provider if you have concerns about your child’s mental health.
