Mr Mole's Marvellous Ideas

Support little ones to explore these beautiful, natural weather disks as part of their daily routine. Children will learn new vocabulary based around weather and have the opportunity to extend this into conversations around seasons, months of the year, numbers and more. The beautifully crafted wooden pieces are excellent for developing fine motor skills too and are deliciously tactile.

Larry's Learning Outcomes

Children love all types of weather, they likes splashing in puddles on rainy days, flying their kites in gusty wind, walking through the woods in the sunshine and crunching through the ice cold snow.
Little ones will be eager to jump out of bed in the morning, throw open their curtains and find out what the days weather will be like. Use the wooden disks to create a conversation abou t how the weather is and how it may change throughout the day.

About The Brand

Justine of Green Earth Learning has been a primary school teacher since 2002. During that time she has led many curriculum areas but in 2010 she was lucky enough to participate in an Outdoor Environmental Education course run through Linköping University in Sweden. To this day, Justine says that it is still the best CPD that she ever had. It changed everything for her and having seen first hand the benefit of the Scandinavian approach, she was able to bring some elements in to her teaching back home. It was in 2017 that she took the full leap into the outdoors and trained as a Level 3 Forest School Leader and set up Green Earth Learning. She’s now in a privileged position to see first hand the impact being in the outdoors can have on our young people and the environment in which they play. In 2019, Justine’s sister Tasha came on board and they came up with the idea of their disc bags and Tree Keepers®️. Green Earth Learning are always looking to develop new ideas to expand the range and everything they do will be inspired by nature and the idea of play. The environment is very important to Green Earth and, although they say that they are not perfect, they are trying hard to reduce their impact through the choices that they make for their products and packaging.
