Tender Leaf use top-quality reclaimed rubberwood in Tender Leaf Toys. It is solid, smooth to the touch and looks lovely, which is why they let the natural wood grain show through in so many of our designs. Tender Laef also use high grade birch plywood which if left its natural colour will have a matte coating applied to protect it.
All of Tender Leaf’s paint colours are non toxic and so safe for little ones. Their wood is formaldehyde free.
Before any of their designs go into production, they are rigorously tested – The Tender Leaf family know they are fun to play with, but they have to be sure they are completely safe and durable.
Mr Mole's Marvellous Ideas
Mr Mole would love to be a chef one day, he is so creative and uses his imagination to think up all sorts of wild and whacky recipes! He likes to think of a theme or an occasion and write a special menu so that he can cook lots of his amazing recipes for his family. Spiders on Toast to start followed by pumpkin pastry parcels and finished with green jelly frogspawn is his favourite concoction so far!

Larry thinks that role playing is one of the most important activities that young children can take part in. It gives natural opportunities to problem solve and encourages conversations about many areas of daily life and common experiences.
A play kitchen is a safe and fun environment that children can take ownership of, this helps to build independence and self confidence by giving them responsibility over their own property and space as well as learning how to be safe in a kitchen space.
Imaginations will go into overdrive when little ones create their own characters and scenarios to act out situations that they can use to prepare them for real life experiences.
