Description
63 wooden objects that look nothing like a typical toy — and that is entirely the point. Heuristic play is about giving children the freedom to explore, discover and make sense of the world entirely on their own terms, with no instructions, no right answers and no limits on what they can create.
Rings, spools, cubes, egg cups, balls, bowls — every piece is simple, open ended and endlessly interesting to a curious toddler. Children from 10 months will mouth them, stack them, drop them into each other and figure out how they relate. Older toddlers will build, sort, arrange and invent their own games. It is one of the most natural and instinctive forms of play there is.
Not sure what heuristic play actually involves? Read our blog post What is Heuristic Play? for ideas and inspiration. Browse our full range of wooden toddler toys and open ended toys for more.
