Terms of Service
Welcome to Learning Bugs. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of www.learningbugs.co.uk (the "Website") and to every order you place with us. By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Who We Are
The Website is operated by Learning Bugs UK Limited, trading as Learning Bugs, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16463505.

2. Definitions
- Brand Partner: a trusted brand or supplier who sends products directly to you on our behalf
- Product: any item shown for sale on the Website
- Product Description: the information shown on a Product's page, including any delivery times or product-specific conditions
- Order: your order to buy Products from the Website
- In writing: includes email
3. Using Our Website
When you use the Website or place an Order, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old
- The information you give us, including your contact, delivery and payment details, is correct and complete
- You will keep your account login details secure and are responsible for activity on your account
- You will only use the Website for lawful purposes
4. Products and Descriptions
We take care to describe and photograph our Products accurately. Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen, and sizes and measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise.
Products are sold subject to their Product Description, which may include delivery times or other details that apply to that Product. We may limit the quantity of a Product that can be bought, and we may stop selling a Product at any time.
5. Prices
All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT. Delivery charges are shown at checkout.
Occasionally a Product may be listed at the wrong price. If we notice a pricing error after you have ordered, we will contact you before sending the Product. You can then choose to buy it at the correct price, or we will cancel your Order and refund you in full.
If the error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as a mistake, we may cancel your Order and give you a full refund, even if we have already sent you an order confirmation or dispatched the Product.
6. Orders and Our Contract With You
When you place an Order, you are making an offer to buy the Products. After you order, we will email you an order confirmation with your order number. Please quote it whenever you contact us about your Order.
Our contract with you is formed when we, or our Brand Partner, send the Products to you. If a Product is sent directly by a Brand Partner, you may also receive a dispatch email from them.
We may decline an Order, for example if:
- The Product is no longer available
- Payment is not authorised or completed
- There is an error in the price or Product Description
- We believe the Order breaches these Terms
If we decline or cancel an Order after you have paid, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Orders are for your own personal or household use and not for resale, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
7. Delivery
Delivery options, prices and estimated timescales are set out in our Shipping Policy. Some Products are sent directly by our Brand Partners, so an Order may arrive in more than one parcel. Delivery times are estimates, and we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or events outside our control.
We use tracked delivery services. If you are not home, the courier may leave your parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place, or arrange redelivery or collection, in line with the courier's delivery options.
The Products become your responsibility once they have been delivered to you, or to a person or place you have nominated.
If a parcel is returned to us because delivery attempts were missed, or it was not collected from a depot or pickup point, a £15 fee will be deducted from your refund to cover return and admin costs. If you would like it sent again, new delivery charges will apply.
8. Your Right to Cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel your Order within 14 days of the day you receive the Products, without giving a reason. Our Refund Policy gives you longer, up to 30 days, on the terms set out in that policy.
To cancel, please email hey@learningbugs.co.uk with your name, order number and the Products you are returning. You must then send the Products back within 14 days of telling us, and take reasonable care of them until they are returned. Unless the Product is faulty, return postage is your responsibility.
If you cancel within 14 days, we will refund the price of the Products you return. If you return your whole Order, we will also refund the standard delivery charge (not any extra you paid for express delivery). We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the Products back, or of you providing proof that you have sent them, whichever is sooner. We may reduce your refund if a Product has lost value because it has been handled more than was needed to check it.
The right to cancel does not apply to personalised or made-to-order Products, or to hygiene items once their seal or packaging has been opened.
9. Faulty Products
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to all Products you buy from us. If a Product is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us as set out in our Refund Policy and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
10. Offers, Discount Codes and Rewards
These terms apply to all offers, discount codes and rewards, alongside any specific conditions shown with an offer. If the two differ, the specific offer conditions apply.
- Unless stated otherwise, each offer can be used once per customer and cannot be combined with other offers or discount codes
- Offers and codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash
- Any expiry date or exclusions will be shown with the offer
- If you return items bought with a discount, you will be refunded the price you actually paid
- If a return means your remaining Order no longer meets an offer's minimum spend, we may deduct the discount from your refund
- We may cancel an Order where an offer has been applied in error or used fraudulently
- We may change or withdraw offers at any time, without affecting Orders already placed
Welcome offer: new customers who sign up to our emails can get £5 off their first order when they spend over £50. It can be used once, on one online order, and cannot be combined with any other offer.
Rewards: Rewards members earn 5% back as store credit on eligible orders. Credit is added to your account once your order has been delivered and can be used against future orders. Credit has no cash value. If an order is refunded, the credit earned on it may be removed.
11. Reviews and Feedback
If you send us reviews, photos, comments or other feedback, you give us permission to use, publish and share them, including in our marketing, without payment. You confirm that your feedback is your own, is honest and does not break any law or anyone else's rights. We may edit or remove feedback that we consider unlawful, offensive or inappropriate.
12. Third-Party Tools, Links and Shopify
The Website may include links to other websites or tools provided by third parties. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or services, so please read their terms before using them.
Our store is hosted on Shopify. All sales are made between you and Learning Bugs UK Limited, and Shopify is not responsible for any sale between you and us.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website, including text, photos, graphics, logos and design, belongs to Learning Bugs or our licensors. You may use the Website for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, reproduce, republish or distribute any content without our written permission.
14. Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Website:
- For any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose
- To infringe our or anyone else's intellectual property rights
- To harass, abuse or threaten our team or anyone else
- To send spam, viruses or malicious code
- To collect other people's personal information
- To scrape, copy or resell any part of the Website
- To interfere with the Website's security or how it works
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms.
15. Our Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for any business losses, as our Products are for personal and household use.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
16. Your Personal Information
We handle your personal information in line with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms that apply to your Order are the ones on the Website when you placed it.
18. Other Important Terms
- If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will still apply
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to another business, provided this does not reduce your rights
- These Terms, together with our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, make up the full agreement between you and us
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring legal proceedings in your local courts.
