The two pieces suit different moods. The activity table is one to stand at, with five activities set into the wooden top to return to again and again: beads to guide through the spiral, a tower to build, small animals to move across the garden. The ramp racer is the quieter of the two, a matter of sitting down, releasing each little car in turn and watching it find its way to the bottom before setting them all back at the top.

Between them they cover a great deal at this age, from sustained standing play and early cause and effect to the fine motor control that comes of threading beads and placing a car on a track. Both are made from FSC-certified wood in the same soft Fairy Garden palette, so they sit together well in the corner of a room and are built to be passed on rather than replaced.
