Description

The Oliver Furniture Wood Original House Bed is the kids house bed that gives a young child a sleeping space that feels entirely and completely their own.

The low bed clearance of 32.5 cm makes it easy for children from around age 2 to climb in and out entirely on their own. The generous dimensions of 90 x 200 cm give plenty of room for both play and learning during the day and for a parent to lie alongside at bedtime. The enclosed sides create a cosy and secure sleeping space, while the house roof frame rises to 150 cm - please check ceiling height before ordering. The bed can be complemented with a bed guard for increased safety and with a canopy or tent, available as add-ons above, to create an imaginative world where play and daydreaming can flourish. Made from birch wood and MDF with legs in beautiful white-oiled solid oak, it can easily convert into other beds within the Wood Original series as your child grows.

Mattress not included.

Add-Ons

Mattress 90 x 200 cm (+£329)

This bed requires a 90 x 200 cm mattress with rounded corners. Standard mattresses will not fit as the bed base has curved edges that need this exact size. The Oliver Furniture Original mattress is 13 cm deep with a high-resilience cold foam core certified to Oeko-Tex standards. Comfortable, breathable and hypoallergenic. The cover is GOTS-certified organic herringbone cotton quilted with recycled PET fibres. The top half has a waterproof breathable layer with a zip-off design so it can be machine washed at 40°.

Bed Guard (+£99)

The Wood Original bed guard attaches to the open side of the house bed for additional safety.

House Bed Canopy (+£68)

A soft white organic cotton canopy that drapes over the roof frame to create a light and airy enclosed sleeping space. Attached and removed easily.

House Bed Tent (+£149)

A white organic cotton tent with windows that creates a cosier, more enclosed space under the roof frame. The windows let light in while giving children a sense of their own private world.

FAQ

What age is the Wood Original House Bed suitable for?

From around age 2 through to adulthood. The bed clearance of 32.5 cm means young children can get in and out entirely on their own. The full 90 x 200 cm sleeping space and 120 kg weight load mean it works as a long-term bed well beyond the toddler years.

Do I need to check my ceiling height?

Yes. The house roof frame rises to 150 cm — please check your ceiling height before ordering to make sure the frame fits comfortably in the room.

What is the difference between the canopy and the tent?

The canopy (+£68) is a lighter, airier drape over the roof frame. The tent (+£149) is a more enclosed option with windows, giving children a stronger sense of their own private space. Both are available as add-ons above and ship on the same pallet at no extra cost.

Can this bed convert to a different configuration?

Yes. With an optional Oliver Furniture conversion kit this bed converts to any other bed in the Wood Original series. Use the Oliver Furniture Bed Converter at oliverfurniture.com to find the exact kit in three steps. Conversion kits are guaranteed available for 5 years from purchase.

Where can I buy Oliver Furniture in the UK?
