Description
168 small wooden treasures in 14 different shapes and 7 organic colour families — droplets, cones, pickles, tokens, jewels, acorns, mushrooms, stones and more — all inspired by nature and all completely open ended. There is no right way to play with these, which is precisely what makes them so good.
This is loose parts play at its most beautiful. Children sort by colour, arrange by shape, create pictures and stories, practise counting and sequencing or simply explore the tactile feel of each piece. The natural woodgrain shows through every colour shade, giving them a warmth and quality that synthetic alternatives simply cannot match.
Each colour family carries its own symbolic meaning — greens for nature and healing, blues for calm and inner peace, yellows for wisdom and learning — making them as thoughtful in design as they are in play. Seven colours across three shades each means the sorting and pattern-making possibilities are genuinely endless.
Works beautifully alongside the Heuristic Play Starter Set and Rainbow Wooden range for even more open ended discovery. Read our blog What is Loose Parts Play? for ideas and inspiration, or browse our full range of wooden toys and educational toys.
Set includes: 168 coloured wooden treasures, cotton drawstring storage bag.
Size: Approx. 3.5 to 4cm.
Age: Not suitable for children under 3 years. Contains small parts — choking hazard.
