BrainBots: Our Planet is an 8-card Yoto pack that takes children on a fact-filled journey around planet earth — covering volcanoes for kids, earthquakes, oceans, rainforests, polar regions, climates and seasons, hurricanes, and the water cycle. The BrainBots — Nellie, Buzz, and Gibbs — shrink down, travel back in time, and venture into places humans cannot reach, uploading everything they discover to the BrainBank along the way.
Each card runs to around thirty minutes and follows the same winning format that made the BrainBots series a hidden gem on the platform: the facts are embedded inside a genuinely funny and fast-moving story, so children are learning about earthquakes for kids or rainforest science without it ever feeling like a lesson. A knowledge quiz at the end of every card gives children the chance to test how much has actually landed — and the results tend to surprise parents as much as the children. How does Yoto work?
Insert a Yoto card into your Yoto Player or Yoto Mini and the audio begins playing immediately. Remove the card and the audio stops. Use the right dial to skip between tracks and the left dial to adjust volume. No apps, no screens, and no buttons for children to navigate — the card is the control.
Do I need WiFi to use Yoto?
WiFi is only needed to download new card content via the Yoto app. Once downloaded, everything plays offline — the Yoto Player stores up to 600 hours of content and the Yoto Mini stores up to 500 hours.
Are all Yoto cards compatible with all Yoto players?
Yes — all Yoto cards work with the Yoto Player (all generations) and the Yoto Mini. Accessories such as Adventure Jackets and travel cases are player-specific, so always check the product description for compatibility before purchasing.
What age is Yoto suitable for?
Yoto players are suitable from age 3 and up under adult supervision, and the card library covers everything from baby and toddler content through to audiobooks and music for older children and teenagers. Many families use Yoto well into secondary school age.
