Description

The Oliver Furniture Seaside Classic Bunk Bed with slant ladder brings a traditional Scandinavian design to a shared room, solid and safe with a light, simple character that suits almost any children's room.

Both bunks offer a full 90 x 200 cm sleeping space, and the ladder can be mounted on either side to fit the room. The classic style and quality mean this is a bed built to be passed down, not just grown out of. Made from birch wood and MDF, painted white throughout, with the same clean, hidden-screw construction that runs through the whole Seaside Classic collection.

Mattress not included.

Add-Ons

Mattress 90 x 200 cm (+£329 each)

Both bunks need a 90 x 200 cm mattress. The Oliver Furniture Classic mattress is made from Oeko-Tex certified European HR cold foam, so it's comfortable, breathable and hypoallergenic. The cover is GOTS-certified organic herringbone cotton with a waterproof breathable panel on one half, and it comes off for a wash at 40°C.

Choose 1x above for one mattress or 2x for both.

Bed Guard (+£109)

Fits the lower bunk for extra reassurance with younger children.

Dimensions & Fit
  • Bed outer dimensions: W97 cm (W141 with ladder) x L207 x H176 cm
  • Mattress size required: W90 x L200 cm (both levels)
  • Max mattress thickness: 15 cm
  • Bed clearance: 45 cm and 147 cm (with Seaside Classic mattress)

Please be mindful of whether this will fit through your front door, up any stairs and through any other access points before ordering, as some components may arrive pre-assembled.

Materials & Safety

Made from birch wood and MDF, painted white throughout. MDF is a strong, wood-based material with a smooth, uniform surface, well suited to a clean painted finish. Painted with non-toxic, REACH-certified paint. Hidden screws throughout. Made to order in Europe and compliant with strict EU health and safety requirements.

Tested and approved to EN 747-1:2012. As with all bunk beds, the upper bunk isn't suitable for children under 6 due to the risk of falls. A younger child can sleep safely on the lower bunk, especially with the bed guard fitted. Maximum static weight load per bunk is 120 kg.

Delivery & Returns

Made to order and shipped direct from Denmark, usually within 2 to 4 weeks of ordering. Delivery is kerbside pallet, and assembly needs two people and basic tools. Full instructions are included, and delivery is free across the UK.

As this is made to order, we can only accept returns if the item arrives faulty or damaged. Please check every box carefully when it arrives and email hey@learningbugs.co.uk with photos within 7 days if anything's wrong. We'll sort a replacement part or full replacement, whichever's needed.

FAQ

Is a mattress included?

No, both bunks need a 90 x 200 cm mattress. Add one or two above and they'll ship on the same pallet as the bed.

What's the difference between the slant and vertical ladder versions?

The vertical ladder leaves room underneath the lower bunk for a trundle bed or drawer. This slant version doesn't have that clearance, so it's a simpler bed with just the mattress and bed guard as add-ons.

What age is this bunk bed suitable for?

The upper bunk isn't suitable for under 6s, in line with EN 747 safety standards. Younger children can sleep on the lower bunk, ideally with the bed guard fitted.

Can this bunk bed convert to other beds in the range?

Yes, with an optional Oliver Furniture conversion kit. This bed converts to the Classic Bed, Classic Day Bed, two Classic Beds, two Classic Day Beds, one Classic Bed and one Day Bed, the Classic Low Loft Bed, the Classic Loft Bed, or the Classic Bunk Bed with vertical ladder. Use the Oliver Furniture Bed Converter at oliverfurniture.com to find the exact kit in three steps. Conversion kits are guaranteed available for 5 years from purchase.

Where can I buy Oliver Furniture in the UK?
